How to choose between FLL, MIA and PBI
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International is the natural choice for downtown, Las Olas, the beach and Port Everglades, all within about half an hour. Miami International has the widest choice of international flights and is a sensible arrival for Hollywood Beach and southern Broward. Palm Beach International is smaller and quicker to get through, and it is often the better arrival for Boca Raton. We run all three, so book the flight that suits you and match the car to it.
| Airport | Distance | Typical drive | Pickup |
|---|---|---|---|
| FLL | 5 miles from downtown | 15-25 min | Curbside or meet-and-greet |
| MIA | 30 miles from Fort Lauderdale | 40-60 min | Curbside or meet-and-greet |
| PBI | 45 miles from Fort Lauderdale | 50-70 min | Curbside or meet-and-greet |
What happens on the day
You book with your flight number, and your confirmation lists the vehicle class and pickup type. We follow the flight and move the pickup for early or late landings. With curbside pickup, the chauffeur texts when you are on the ground and meets you at the arrivals curb once you have your bags. With meet-and-greet, the chauffeur waits near baggage claim with a name sign, helps with luggage and walks you to the car. Airport pickups include a 15-minute grace period; after that, wait-time charges may apply for extended delays.
Departures
For flights out, the chauffeur arrives ten to fifteen minutes before the scheduled pickup, loads your bags and drives straight to departures. Weekday rush hour on I-95 and I-595, cruise weekends around Port Everglades and the winter season are the three things most likely to slow the drive, so we set pickup times with them in mind.

Airport transfer questions
Which airport is closest to Fort Lauderdale?
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL), 15 to 25 minutes from downtown. Miami International (MIA) is 40 to 60 minutes south and Palm Beach International (PBI) is 50 to 70 minutes north.
What is the difference between curbside and meet-and-greet?
Curbside: the chauffeur texts when you have your bags and meets you at the arrivals curb. Meet-and-greet: the chauffeur waits near baggage claim with a name sign and walks you to the car.
What if my flight is early or late?
We track the flight and move the pickup time automatically. You do not need to call after a routine delay. Extended delays beyond the grace period may incur wait-time fees.
Can I go straight from the airport to a cruise ship?
Yes. Transfers from FLL, MIA or PBI directly to Port Everglades are booked with your flight and your ship, and the chauffeur plans around your boarding window.
